Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati was born in Turin, Italy. He had a great devotion to the Holy Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin. He influenced and inspired many around the world, one of them being Pope Saint John Paul II. "I, too, in my youth, felt the beneficial influence of his example and, as a student, I was impressed by the force of his Christian testimony." (Pope Saint John Paul II)

At an early age, Pier Giorgio began developing a deep spiritual life that led him to serve and give to the poor. He studied mining engineering and in his spare time you would find him with his family, friends, climbing mountains, or praying. He died at the age of 24, on July 4, 1925. It is common for pilgrims, especially youth, students, and mountain climbers to desire to pray and learn more about the radical life of Pier Giorgio..

King Cakes

Celebrate Christ the King Sunday by making a king cake. Maybe your family has a favorite recipe you like to make during Mardi Gras. Today is a great day to get it our and use it again. Or if you need a super quick and easy recipe check out this quick King Cake idea.
Quick King Cakes
Feeling more adventurous we like to make this Monkey Bread recipe from scratch at our house. It takes a more time but it is fun to make the dough and then bake it in a bundt pan. When you flip it out of the pan it looks like a crown for a king.  Enjoy

Saint Stories for kids is a new podcast I found and have started to listen to with our younger two boys. I wasn't sure they would like it at the time but I enjoyed it and decided to share it with them. I listened to an episode of it with them in the car on the way to church and now they ask for it each Sunday on our way to church.
Saint Stories for Kids is a short audio story of a saint. They is background on the saint, when they lived, what they did, and who they are. Then there is a fun story about the saint. During Halloween there were even spooky scary stories with a fun twist in them. It is a fun short way to learn about different saints. You can find it on any podcast app or here on their websitshininglightdolls.com/pages/saint-stories-for-kidse.
