In October we gathered and learned about the saints. Each grade level learned about a different saint and then shared a little bit about their saint with the large group. Take a few minutes to learn more about the saints we choose this month. K/1 grades - St. Sebastian- patron of athletes and warriors 2nd grade - St. Francis of Assisi- patron of animals 3/4- grades- St. Dominic of Guzman - patron of astronomers and the innocent that are falsely accused of crimes 5/6 grades- St. Josephine Bakhita- patron of Sudan and human trafficking survivors 7/8 grades- St. Bernadette Soubirous- patron of the sick and those ridiculed for their holiness 9-12 grades - Saint Maria Faustina- patron of suffering and Jesus' Divine Mercy
We then wrote down the names of those family and friends who have been models of faith to us and are now in heaven with the Lord. You can make a Wall of Remembrance at home. Write the names of loved ones who are models of faith in your lives on a sticky note and add them to your prayer space for the month.
Below is the recording of the October Gathering if you were not able to join us. After watching the video choose a saint to learn more about and fill out the worksheet.
