At faith formation this year we discovered more about the vocation of the priesthood. Join us in praying for our priests. One way to do this is to print this Pray for Our Priests Calendar, and pray for a priest each day. Also pray for an increase of vocations to the priesthood.

There's so much to celebrate this weekend!! Corpus Christi, Confirmation, the Sacred Heart of Jesus- wow, what a great time to be Catholic!
This weekend is the celebration of the solemnity of Corpus Christi! What does this mean? This day is also known as the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, this feast honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly and Substantially Present in the forms of bread and wine. Do you remember when we hear the fancy word, "transubstantiation" at Faith Formation? That is what this moment is called.. Jesus is changed from bread and wine to His true body and blood! This change occurs at every single Mass!! When do you ask? During the Consecration, the priest says the words which Christ Himself pronounced over bread and wine, “This is My Body,” “This is the chalice of My Blood,” “Do this in remembrance of Me.”
Check out the video below of a special Eucharistic procession around Medjugorje! (This is an apparition site in Europe!)
Confirmation is also being celebrated this weekend! This year we had 33 candidates prepare for this very moment! This sacrament is often confused with the idea that faith formation is over, but it is the opposite! It is the beginning of sacramental maturity to go out and truly live out what God is asking of us.. to be like Jesus and live out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)- "Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore,[b] and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.[c] And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” We are given the mission of a disciple, to share our faith, and to be like Jesus. Even if you haven't celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation, Jesus still wants you to be a good disciple and do the same. We are all called simply through our baptism to know Christ, to be known by Christ, and make Christ known.
